They had queued for hours to get a glimpse of Korean superstar Lee Min Ho. But in the end, he was a no-show.
The 800fans, who had gathered at Plaza Singapura since morning, were stunned into disbelief. Said student Cassandra Chiam, 16: "This is ridiculous. I don't believe the security staff. Min Ho will not disappoint us like that."
She and 2 of her friends had been waiting near Korean cosmetics shop Etude House since 3pm. Min Ho, the ambassador for the brand, was due to make an appearance at the shop at 4pm. But the event was cancelled because of safety concerns.
The massive crowd, which snaked along the mall's walkways, was too much to handle and the Boys Over Flowers star could not enter the building. Security officers had told the surging crowd to back down or the event will be cancelled. But the fans ignored the warning as they thought it was a joke.
The escalators between two floors of the nine-storey shopping centre even had to be stopped for five minutes so that the 30 security officers could safely disperse the crowd. Etude House is located in Basement 1. Still, many of the fans refused to budge. They insisted that it was a ruse. Staff of Etude House then gave out boxes of cotton wool to the fans who insisted on waiting.

Disgruntled fan Cherice Goh, an 18-year-old student, said that she appreciated the gesture, but cotton wool was simply no substitute for Min Ho. She added: "I think giving us samples of its top products would have been better."
A security officer told The New Paper on Sunday that this was the first time he had seen a celebrity event cancelled. Previous events that he had handled involving celebrities such as Korean singer Rain, Taiwanese singer A-mei and Hong Kong singer-actress Charlene Choi ran smoothly.
A spokesperson for Plaza Singapura said that Etude House had organised the event but did not expect the massive turnout. She said the event had not been advertised and was not even on Etude House's website and Facebook page, which only mentioned Min Ho's date of arrival in Singapore. The actor flew in at 12.30pm.
Cassandra said she found out about the event from Min Ho's fansite forum. She added that she and two friends had 'studied in advance' for their English 'O' Level exam tomorrow so that they could take time off to meet the 22 year old actor.
International Appeal
The three girls were not the only disappointed fans. Eight of Min Ho's Thai fans had flown in the day before - they spent $4000 on air tickets and accomodation-only to be told to 'stand back'. Said a Singaporean fan, Ms Mary Koh, 23, an accountant: "What made this so bad was that this was his only public appearance, apart from his arrival at the airport just now. The other event is private."
She was referring to the Pretty In Pink party at Movida at St. James Power Station, where Min Ho signed autographs and answered questions from his fans. The event was at 5pm. To gain entry, fans had to spend $200 at Etude House to get a scratch and win card(yon: this is not true.. it's $15 to get a scratch and win card). Only some cards allowed admission to the party.
When The New Paper on Sunday arrived at Movida yesterday evening, we saw more glum faces. Fans without admission cards were waiting in the sweltering heat, hoping to catch a glimpse of Min Ho. Sisters Shannon Wong, 7 and Shermin Wong, 5, who had been waiting since 4pm, wanted to meet their 'cute' idol.
Though they had no admission cards, the girls claimed that their mother had a friend who could get them into the party. Alas, they were too young-fans had to be at least 12years old to get in.
Madam Wong Siew Chin, a 56years old housewife who had flown in from Malaysia, was also hoping to gatecrash the party as only her teenage daughter managed to get an admission card. But Madam Wong, who had been waiting since 3pm, was not allowed in. Still it wasn't a letdown for all of Min Ho's fans yesterday. There were 180 lucky ones in Movida who had a great time with their idol.
The Korean star was apologetic. "I'm truly sorry about the cancelled event this afternoon. We didn't want anyone to get hurt," he said

A Day with Lee Min Jung on Smile, You through SelCas

The strawberry milk is mine after the filming ends. Drinking during filming, drinking after filming. I think I drank a lot of strawberry milk on that day. But luckily, it's my favourite.
Filming usually lasts till dawn. It's tiring staying up, and then you get attacked by chilly winds in the early morning. A cup of coffee becomes my energy source.
Turning into a beautiful bride in a wedding gown. I am seen here looking at my cellphone. I think I got some important text message... but I can't remember what it is about.
Applying the final touches to my makeup. Thanks to my fair skin, the bride's makeup is looking really fine.
This is Lee Kyu Han oppa who dumps me at the altar. Although I might look happy with the V-sign, I will soon be dumped on the highway by him (sighs).
Posing with an exaggerated expression. Sticking my tongue out before eating something is a habit that I am apparently unaware of. Who's the pretty girl beside me, you might ask? It's my stylist. SS501 releases “Love Like This” MV teaser
SS501 fans were originally looking forward to seeing their idols strut their stuff on stage with their comeback single, Love Like This after a long hiatus on the 23rd.
But Music Bank was canceled a few days before its scheduled broadcast because of their decision to show a live telecast of a baseball game, meaning that SS501 will make their return a day later on Music Core instead. But there was still some joy for SS501 fans because DSP Media has just released the MV teaser for Love Like This.
The boys look damn hot in their new stylish concept.

Although I am not 100% positive, I have a feeling that "lucky fan" is the owner of this blog which was listed in DCinside. I am going to translate what he said, esp. the portion he wrote about GHS.
This blogger states that he was one of the interviewers selected to interview GHS on STAR INTERVIEW. He is planning to post the entire interview by next Wed, October 28, 2009.
He says he had a busy week but interviewing GHS was most memorable to him. He says that the STAR INTERVIEW took place at GHS' Cafe Manolin which is located in Kang Nam (WOW, I did not know her cafe was in Kang Nam---now I wonder if Tablo may actually have his wedding at GHS's cafe. He would not identify the location of his wedding but said that it will be a very intimate wedding somewhere in Kang Nam of Seoul! That would be very sweet if it is really true!) He says that Cafe Manolin belongs to GHS and that she actually manages it herself.

Seems like a surprise appearance is now becoming MinSun’s trademark. An unexpected sighting will never fail to escalate MinSun shippers’ spirit and send each one in a spontaneous combustion-like jubilation. Officially announced events such as BOF promos/interviews always create anticipation for more MinSun moments but MinSun’s personal and unannounced engagements (with a common friends and allies) generate a higher degree of euphoria.
Hats off to MinSun for bearing with the crowd’s probing eyes and unstoppable efforts to capture the moment with cams and vids. MinSun deserves some quiet and relaxed time together away from the public scrutiny. (Hopefully, they have that after the event.)

Kim Bum : 180 degree Transformation
Kim Bum has gone through a 180 degree transformation.
And is because the star will be in a movie called Emergency . With half of his head in cornrows, rocking shiny blue jackets, and smokey eye-liner, Kim Bum is now officially bad ass. His role in the movie, a host, pleasing ladies every night.
Emergency, directed by Park Jung Hoon, is to be a love story (I thought it was going be a gangster movie…) and is expected to be released this December.
Althought Dream drama was not successful this actor is more popular every day and have a lot of fans around the world!

Lee also enjoyed playing computer game Warcraft and stories of his playing still appear on the Internet. He spent his teens like the normal students around him, playing games and managing his homepage accounts.

Director of Lee's agency Starhaus Entertainment. Han says he thought of Lee as a happy-go-lucky type of person when he saw him sleeping sprawled out on the couch of their office. That is why, on Lee's school records, his parents wrote that their son's dream was to become a computer programmer in 10th grade, a company employee in 11th grade and then a celebrity in his final year. Lee had to have a 47-centimeter long steel pin inserted into his leg and stopped all his activities for seven months. But the reason he can go back and forth naturally between serious and comical acting is because he understands the tone of acting necessary in playing such a character.

Here I come...hehheh. The audio was indeed terrible. I was also having difficulties in hearing who says this, who says that. Btw, pls be informed that the translation below is totally based on the japanese subtitle. And I only translated the parts which' re related to MinSun and which I found interesting.

[ What I'm trying to say is...This scenario and the above scenario are similar. When MH asked who's the most handsome among them, he looked at KB first, then looked at the rest. Then, eventually he said that KB is very handsome.
So, in HS's scenario, because she looked at MH first before looking at the others when she was asked who's her ideal type, her reflexive non-verbal/body language response implied that MH is/was her ideal type...don't you think so?]

#9. Lee Min Ho's Irresistible Charm
It's a waste to just keep my favorite LMH photos in my files so I got "possessed" and made an MV
showing his mannerisms/fave facial expresions (love the lip action), fashion style and moments with his cute and adorable kiddie fans. My knees get weak each time I see these photos. Wish I can do much better in my next LMH MV.

Goo Hye Sun & Isao Sasaki "With You" Concert Cut (10/17/09)

A vid clip of GHS and Isao Sasaki at his With You Concert in Dae Goo for your viewing pleasure. She comes out after Isao Sasaki performs her 'All Types of Goodbyes'. GHS says that she had a hard time coming to Dae Goo.
On the 17th at 5PM was WITH YOU Concert by Isao Sasaki. This is his 9th tour of Korea. His performance included Korean song called 'Half Moon', 'Moon River', 'Sky Walker', etc. On violin is Masatsuku Sinozaki with special guest appearance by GHS.
Active as both actress and director, GHS played her own 'Fragrance'. She also performed duet with Isao Sasaki 'Small Fountain' and GHS's 'Chopstick March'. It was the kind of New Age music that one cannot help but be mesmerized for two hours straight.
I hope she will another CD with the 'Chopstick March'~~love that song!
