Kim Joon struck by H1N1 virus

Having been cleared of having H1N1 earlier in the month, it looks like Kim Joon cannot escape his fate as it was revealed late on 26th November that he has tested positive for H1N1. This brings to a total of 3 celebrities who have tested positive for H1N1 on the 26th, with earlier confirmed cases being SHINee's Taemin and MBLAQ's Thunder.

According to a representative from Planet 905, Kim Joon is now in hospital receiving treatment, which includes the taking of Tamiflu. His condition is currently stable although there's considerable impact to Kim Joon's upcoming broadcast schedule in Korea and overseas, including a 2D1N trip to the Philippines for a fanmeeting on the 30th.

With 30th November still a few days away, a decision will be taken soon accordingly, depending on Kim Joon's recovery speed and health condition.

Hanryu Fondue - LMH, GHS, KJ interview

Summary from susamerica:

Not much new news in that clip above. GHS told the audience that she had a concert with Isao Sassaki the night before. To the question of what she had been doing since the end of BOF, GHS did not fully explain all her activities--only the concert and the directorial debut. She also mentions that she tries to sleep well and eat well and drink about 2 liters of water daily to help with her skin care.

Minho talked about doing his CF's and a some type of a photo book about himself. Joon talked about working hard with his T-max, a new entertainment program based on playing baseball with other entertainers and also a musical. He may actually do another drama in Korea or in Japan!!.

GHS can be so very hesitant in promoting herself---the lady mc was so very intersted in her activities! She has been so incredibly productive with the art exhibition, promotion of her short film, her novel, her cf's, her preparation for the new full-length movie and working on her Cafe Manolin.

Well, we are very proud of you, GHS!!!!

Kim Joon Returns on MNET Scandal?

T-Max member and flower boy Kim Joon has been spotted on a date with a pretty young girl, which had netizens speculating the peculiarity of this - after all, Kim Joon had already been "scandalized" once before. The photos below show the two "lovers" at a photo sticker booth, a merry-go-around, and sitting comfortably while talking to each other.

Netizens have even said things like:

"They seem to be enjoying a date confidently, like a real couple."

"Has Kim Joon gotten himself a real girlfriend?"

Well, feel free to check out the photos for yourselves! Could he possibly be involved in a real relationship with this mystery girl?

Feel free to breathe a sigh of relief, fangirls, because he's not actually involved in a relationship with this girl. It seems that he's only filming for a new variety show which is the Chinese version of the Korean show "Infinity Challenge". It also seems like his fellow flower boy, Lee Minho, will also partake in the filming of this show.

The show will air on October 24th, so you guys can tune if you're interested. I know I am!

T-Max @ Seoul Drama Awards

Who Won the Popularity Awards at Seoul Drama Awards 2009?

In conjunction with Yahoo Korea, a portal site was created by organizers of the Seoul Drama Awards 2009, to poll users from around the world, to find out the most popular drama, actor and actress in the past year. The poll was held between 13th July and 30th August. The winners of the respective categories are as follows.

Thanks to his SS501 background and popularity as Yoon Ji Hoo in KBS2TV Boys Over Flowers earlier in the year, Kim Hyun Joong walked away as the most popular actor with 48% of the votes. Lee Junki came in second with 26% for his Iljimae role while fellow Boys Over Flower star, Lee Minho was placed third.

Nation's little sister, Moon Geun Young was voted the most popular actress for her role in Painter of the Wind. Han Hyo Joo was 2nd for her Iljimae role while Goo Hye Sun came in third for Boy Before Flowers.

In the most popular drama category, Boys Over Flowers won with 38% of the votes, with Painter of the Wind and Iljimae coming in second and third with 34% and 26% of the votes respectively.

Kind of strange that the winners, second and third place all went to Korea. There were entries from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan among the nominees but none managed to register on the votes. And another coincidence was that it was just a 3-way fight between Boys Over Flowers, Iljimae and Painter of the Wind.

The 2009 Seoul Drama Awards ceremony will be held on 11th September, at the Olympic Hall in Seoul's OIympic Park from 6.30PM (KST). The prestigious event will be shown live via KBS2TV and probably KBSWorld (check your local listings).

So be sure to mark the date down.
