SS501 Park Jung-min opens official homepage

The official website for boy band SS501 member Park Jung-min was launched.


Jung-min's agency said that his Official Website www.parkjungmin.net opened Friday, containing Information on The Singer, his Photographs and Videos, and his schedule.


Despite Jung-min's busy schedule which involves recording his upcoming album and Japan tour, he provided numerous ideas for his website. 


The website is currently serviced only in Korean but pages in English, Chinese and Japanese will also be created. 

Park, who made his debut in 2005 as part of the popular boy band SS501, signed with CNR in August.

He has been busy preparing for his solo music career in Korea which will be marked by an album release and fan meeting this month.

Kim Hyun Joong / SS501: Scheduled Telecast of their Shows

SS501 1st Asia Persona Tour's charm travel across entire asia. SS501's popularity increase because of leader Kim Hyun Joong.

Mnet Japan will start to show reality show "We Got Married" which Kim Hyun Joong acted in from 1st August. This program is an added bonus to SS501 publicity.

Starting from 17th August, Mnet will also broadcast TV programs which SS501 participated in since they debut. It will be a half year program and will be named "I love SS501".

Since leader Kim Hyun Joong acted in popular korean drama "Boys Over Flowers", the other members acting skill were also being discussed. Therefore, around mid August, another program "Break" acted by member Kim Kyu Joong will be telecasted.

From September, SS501 members special activities in fan meetings, romantic sky will be telecasted. Other variety programs like "SOS" will start from October onwards.

Phenomenal drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ premium event guest list has been confirmed.

Besides the fan event held in JCB Hall, Tokyo, last April, ‘Boys Over Flowers’ premium event will be held in National Convention Hall of Yokoyama on 6-Sep. ‘F4’ Kim HyunJoong, Kim Joon, Lee MinHo, Kim Bum and ‘Geum JanDi’ Goo HyeSun, together with group SS501 and T-MAX who sang the drama OST will attend to this event.

‘Boys Over Flowers’ official Japanese site webmaster IMX will undertake the production for this event.

Korean version of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ was first introduced through hallyu cable channel Mnet last April, and the drama will be broadcasted through the public channel TBS throughout Japan from 31-Jul onwards.

Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009 (7/20/09 News)

Incheon and Incheon Tourism Organization announced on the 20th, in order to further promote "Global Fair & Festival 2009 Incheon, Korea" and "Visit Korea Incheon 2009", "Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009" will be held.

Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009, to be held on 22nd August at Incheon Munhak Stadium, will comprise of Korean Wave concert and Korean Wave fan meetings.

Super Junior, Girls Generation, SS501, 2Pm and Kara etc, the most popular groups in Korea, will participate in the concert, which will be broadcast via MBC's "Show Music Core".

SS501 showcases their talents in solo songs

SS501, who has just finished holding a concert in Taiwan, has returned to Korea and immediately released their latest album, <2009>. In this new album, each member gets to sing a solo, allowing them to show their talents. In addition, their acting skills can also be compared to in their music videos.

SS501 Mobbed at Hongkong Airport

The boys of SS501 were mobbed by overzealous fans on their recent visit to Hong Kong as they tried to exit out of the airport. Deafening high pitched screams of fan girls filled the hallway as security guards attempted to push back the crowd without bleeding from their ears. The boys of SS501 stood back, waited and watched, seemingly a little overwhelmed by the situation. It was so chaotic that if it wasn't for the SS501 fan signs, I would've thought that I was watching a fight instead.

Alas, they broke free from the boy-hungry mob, and immediately hauled ass out of there. Boy did they haul haul ass. The boys ran as if Godzilla himself was chasing them.

Overall, it doesn't seem like anyone was hurt, and SS501 seemed happy throughout. In fact, they might have even liked it. I guess they're more popular in Hong Kong than they thought.

SS501 targets China

SS501 has officially joined the Hallyu wave by signing a contract withWarner Music Taiwan. From June 27th until July 2nd, SS501 will be holding multiple press conferences, fan signings and other promotional activities in China. Although SS501 has never promoted themselves in China, they seem to have a strong fan base there, already. Not only did over 2,000 fans flock to the airport to catch a glimpse of the boys, they were also given the Golden Disk Award for pre-selling over 7,000 copies of their SS501 Super Hits album, on the 29th.

SS501 will also be releasing their first solo album, which consists of solo tracks of all members, this coming July 3rd. Once they finish their promotions in China on the 2nd, they will return to Korea and prepare for their first Asia tour performance in Seoul on August 1st and 2nd.
