Koo Hye Sun's "Cheerful Caretaker": Accepted on Busan Asian Short Film Festival

We know that aside from acting, Boys Before Flowers star Gu Hye-sun can sing, likes to draw, has published a novel, and has directed her own short film.

That film, titled The Cheerful Caretaker [유쾌한 도우미], will be getting a film festival screening.
The short film has now been accepted into the fiction category of the Busan Asian Short Film Festival (BASFF), which runs from May 13 through 17.

Competing in the festival are a total of 90 entries from 20 countries.
Gu Hye-sun filmed this short, her directorial debut, last year, as well as writing its script and the theme song. The short spans 14 minutes and stars actors Kim Myung-soo and Ha Ji-won’s younger brother, Jeon Tae-soo; its title “Cheerful Caretaker” alludes to the euthanasia-themed story.

The short had been accepted into last year’s Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) in the “Wide Angle” category, but was eliminated in a preliminary round.
