Boys Over Flowers Kim Hyun Joong confessed that he wish to get closer to co-actress Goo Hye Sun.
Kim Hyun Joong said on MBC ‘Section TV Entertainment Weekly’ on 20th March, “It is still awkward between me and Goo Hye Sun noona.”
Goo Hye Sun is currently acting alongside as Geum JanDi to Kim Hyun Joong’s character Yoon Ji Hoo in KBS drama Boys Over Flowers. They even have kissing scenes in the show. He said, “Until now, we still use formal language to converse. I wish to be closer to noona. I wish to break that invisible wall.”

his interview was mostly tongue-and-cheek. he even said at the start, that bc he's so tired lately, he keeps saying random bizarre things.
yes, he was regretful to not be closer to hye sun (ie: he doesn't kid around with her like he does the other bbf actors), and was frustrated that she spoke in formal language to him. which means, he would have to only speak formally, too-- since he's younger.
the reporter asked, "do you think it's because you like her?" and he said, "yes." he's pretty literal and blunt, so he meant, "yes, i like her as a person." not the same as i like her as a girl.
and his message to hye sun was:
"hye sun noona, i want to become closer to you. ("chin ha da" as in friends.) i want to overcome the invisible wall. be careful with your lips. when you laugh, your stiches will rip."
-so he's implying- i'm going to joke around with you and prob make you laugh. so be careful not to laugh too hard. kidding around is his way of getting close to people.

ps: they don't show a lot of kim joon, but when they did, he always made me laugh :) he's so funny! especially when they were doing truth or dare and he said he wouldn't date any of the f4 members :PP
