SS501 to make comeback on May 1st!

SS501 just recently wrapped up their final encore concert on February 27, but it looks like they’ve already got their eyes set on their upcoming return, which is set for, well, 05-01-2010. (Get it??)

Daesung Entertainment, the quintet’s agency, has yet to decide whether SS501’s comeback will come in the form of a mini-album or full-album release. However, the confirmed 501 Day comeback has already gotten fans rustling in excitement.

With their REBIRTH mini-album release last fall, the members’ individual activities as well as the group’s pan-Asian tour, in which the young men visited Seoul (Korea), Tokyo (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan), Shanghai (China) and Hong Kong (China), SS501 has been quite busy for a while, but that isn’t stopping them from making May 1 an extra-special day for their fans.

The young men of SS501 have reportedly already begun working on this album and will return with a completely new image, so I’m sure it’ll turn out to be something great for all of us eager kpop fans; stay tuned!

Kim Hyun Joong Shed Tears after the concert

It has been revealed that SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong showed tears during SS501’s encore performance in their first Asia PERSONA tour on February 27th at Seoul Songpagoo Olympic Park! On March 6th’s episode of KBS Entertainment Tonight, they interviewed SS501 about their recent concert.

Their concert began on August 2009 at Seoul, and they went all over Asia including Tokyo Japan, Shanghai China, Taipei Taiwan and Hong Kong. The reason Kim Hyun Joong teared was because the concert they held in Seoul, February 27th, was the last closing concert. He was thankful of all the fans who watched them as he teared of joy.

Kim Hyun Joong also made a vow to everyone as he stated, “Being a Hallyu artist, I will work even harder.”

The final round lies between SS501 and Big Bang to get the title of the best idol.

SS501 wins K-Chart Again

Having notched their first award for their new album promotions on Music Bank last week, could SS501 win it for the second week in a row?

There were two new entries in the top 3 this week for the K-Chart with Park Bom for You and I and 2PM with Tired of Waiting coming into the equation against SS501's Love Like This. Park Bom was not performing on the night.

And in the end, it was the SS501 boys who came out on top with their 2nd consecutive K-Chart win with a total of 10,813pts compared to 9,917pts and 7,523pts for 2PM and Park Bom respectively. Having been missing last week when they also won, the boys were finally around this time to claim their No.1 trophy.

SS501 grabs K-Chart win with “Love Like This”

With an impressive haul of awards since beginning Ring Ding Dong promotions, could SHINee keep their run going, having won in the last two weeks?

There was a new contender this week on Music Bank with Baek Ji Young coming into the Top 3 with her IRIS OST song, Don't Forget Me in place of LeeSsang. SHINee and SS501 continued their third week of competition against each other with Ring Ding Dong and Love Like This respectively. SS501 was once again not performing on the night.

And in the end, it was SS501 who won their first award since starting their new album promotions as they won the K-Chart with an impressive points total of 11k+ compared to 7k+ each for SHINee and Baek Ji Young.

As SS501 was currently in Shanghai for their concert tour, a phone call was made to inform them and they thanked their fans for their support with much joy.

SS501 releases “Love Like This” MV teaser

SS501 fans were originally looking forward to seeing their idols strut their stuff on stage with their comeback single, Love Like This after a long hiatus on the 23rd.

But Music Bank was canceled a few days before its scheduled broadcast because of their decision to show a live telecast of a baseball game, meaning that SS501 will make their return a day later on Music Core instead. But there was still some joy for SS501 fans because DSP Media has just released the MV teaser for Love Like This.

The boys look damn hot in their new stylish concept.

SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, and Kim Kyu Jong Pictorial Jacket Photo Released

Following the release of fellow SS501's members Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon's pictorial jacket photos for their new mini-album, "REBIRTH," their leader Kim Hyun Joong and bandmates, Heo Young Saeng and Kim Kyu Jong's photos have been released as well!

As seen with Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon, the rest of the band members are also seen with a smokey makeup, with a mysterious, dark, and foggy background.

There will be a special-edition album, which will contain a 100 page flip-book with their diaries, pictorial photos, and posters. All of this will be released on the 20th - before the normal edition's release on the 22nd. The special-edition album already has 30,000 pre-orders, which shows how much the fans are anticipating on their comeback.

SS501 Back Together Once Again in China

With SS501's leader Kim Hyun Joong being sidelined with the swine flu back in early September, it's been a while since we saw all 5 members of SS501 perform together on stage. Earlier today, the boys of SS501 finally got back together on stage as one at the Korea-China Song Festival held in Qingdao, China. They performed both "Deja Vu" and "A Song Calling for You." [News] Kim Hyun Joong is Adjusting to his Best Condition to Attend Taiwan Concert

Starting from next month, SS501 Asia Tour Concert will officially begin. Kim Hyun Joon will return back to his team and bring wonderful performance to Taiwan. On 17 October, Kim Hyun Joong and SS501 will return to Taiwan and hold their Asia Tour Concert at Taipei Arena. Actually, recently Kim Hyun Joong has already gradually started to work on the 2nd album and also involve in preparation for a series of public performances. Related personnel mentioned: "Actually Hyun Joong himself is very tense with his work and the Asia Tour Concert after his full recovery. While busy with the final preparation for the 2nd album, he also take time to recuperate to handle the coming Asia Tour. Of course, the 1st task is the 1st Taiwan Concert."

This year July, SS501 successfully invaded Taiwan and hold their 1st Fan Meeting. Currently they are preparing for a brand new concert content to return to Taiwan and meet with everybody next month. Five day before the official online ticket sales, the October concert ticket had already hit an 80% sales, from this it showed their popularity in Taiwan. Once the official online sales started, it is even more difficult to get a ticket.

Internal staff mentioned: "Once news about Hyun Joong sickness was released, all have even more anticipated to see him return to Taiwan in good health. Therefore, everybody expectation of this concert is very high. Actually not even local fans from Taiwan, fans from Hong Kong, Singapore and other nearby countries will also visit Taiwan to attend the concert. Therefore when organizing for the Taiwan concert, we had plans to make a special stage."
Kim Hyun Joong is able to gain high popularity in Taiwan mainly due to the Korea version "Boys over Flowers" which is currently broadcast in Taiwan. This new broadcast has brought forward a new wave in the chinese circle, occupying pages in major newspaper. In addition, Kim Hyun Joong has always ranked first in the local media search.

Yesterday, leader HJ arrived in Kimpo airport at 02.20 pm (KST).

Leader HJ flew back to Korea using Asiana Airlines oZ 1015

and his arrival welcomed by estimated 100 Triple S .

HJL only gave a simple greeting in the airport and it went like this,
