Many of you guys may not know about the reputation Jeon DooHwan has in Korea. Many of you guys might not also know that some Koreans are just waiting patiently for his death. Jeon DooHwan was the president that caused one of the most notorious act in Korea, also called the “Gwangju Democratization Movement.” Before, Jeon DooHwan had pressured Koreans under the military power, basically making sure that everyone was following him. However, in Gwangju, several hundreds of citizens gathered together and formed a “movement” for the democracy in the government. Unfortunately, the armed forces were too much for the weak citizens to handle, and along with the movement, several hundreds of the citizens were brutally massacre in 2 days, causing a short period of war between the citizens of Korea. This wasn’t his only mistake, but one of the mistakes he is critized the most for.

Jeon DooHwan celebrated his eightieth birthday in Korea, and a suprising guest came on to the scene, and it was no other than Kim HyunJoong. When the news first came on to the scene, it was said that DSP Media had no idea Kim HyunJoong had attended this event. However, it was revealed that he had actually been there at the event and DSP announced once again that HyunJoong had gone there with someone else that knew the former president. DSP Media also made sure to emphasize the point that Kim HyunJoong had only been there “for a while.”

According to one photographer that was present in the birthday scene, he revealed that Kim HyunJoong waited in line along with the other guest to greet the president, and eventually ended up meeting the former president and shaking his hand as well. The controversy continues with Kim HyunJoong’s journal entry he posted. The journal entry will not be posted here, however, HyunJoong was mad about all the response that came to him and he continued on about how he was taken to the birthday party and he didn’t have a choice at all.

On the way they went in for a while then left and proceed to the appointment location as scheduled.

Without any intention or planning, this incident just happened coincidently
There’s no room for choice
Hyun Joong was not used to receiving bad comments and seems to receive quite hurt by it.

Kim Hyunjoong receives heat for attending ex-President’s bday party

Kim Hyunjoong has been receiving a lot of criticism, heat and hate for attending the birthday celebration of ex-President Jun Doohwan. The reason for this? Because Jun Doohwan was one of Korea’s most hated Presidents and considered responsible for the Gwangju Massacre in 1980.

Kim Hyunjoong is apparently deeply hurt from all of the harsh criticism and hate. On the 19th, DSP Entertainment had stepped in to release a statement on their website and clear his name.

“January 18th was the birthday of DSP Entertainment’s CEO, Lee Ho Yeon. Aside from Jungmin who was filming for ‘Human Theatre 2010′, the CEO and the rest of the members had an appointment to eat dinner together. Hyungjoong had another meeting prior to this dinner, so after that meeting, he met up with CEO Lee Ho Yeon to travel together to the dinner location. On the way there however, Lee Ho Yeon received a call from the ex-President’s party, requesting that he drop by. Upon the request, they stopped by prior to heading out for their dinner party.”

Basically, DSP Entertainment is stating that Kim Hyunjoong had no choice but to stop by because DSP Entertainment’s CEO, Lee Ho Yeon, had to make a stop at Jun Doohwan’s celebration. In other words, Hyunjoong was there by coincidence, since he was with Lee Ho Yeon. Unfortunately, because of this, Kim Hyunjoong has been receiving a lot of hate.

Kim So Eun to star in a new drama, A Good Day for the Wind to Blow

If you guys remember how cute Kim So Eun was as Ga Eul from Boys Over Flowers, you should get excited for this.

This actress is set to star in a new daily drama A Good Day for the Wind to Blow. I’m kind of ecstatic for this one because I’m a huge fan and she is going to play the main character for once!

Kim So Eun’s character, Kwon Oh Bok, dreams of being the best illustrator. She is poor and helpless but she has a big dream and is very determined. She will share a love triangle with a design company’s boss and a hometown oppa.

Kim So Eun said, “I’ve done a lot of bubbly characters in the past but this one is cheery and realistic. Look forward to new side of actress Kim So Eun.”

This drama will also star Jin Lee Han, Seo Hyo Rim, Kang Ji Sub, Kim Mi Suk, Na Moon Hee and more. The drama is set to air in February.

Boys Over Flowers' Kamio to Launch Tora to Ōkami Manga

The February issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine has confirmed on Wednesday that Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) creator Yoko Kamio is launching her new Tora to Ōkami manga series in the next issue on February 13. The story follows Mii Torisawa, the daughter of a family that has run the Himawari restaurant for five decades. Torisawa deals with two handsome boys who happen to be frequent customers — the sweet-hearted "Tora" ("Tiger") or Toraji Sengoku, and the fierce "Ōkami" ("Wolf") or Ken Ōkami.

Kamio already drew a 60-page, one-shot Tora to Ōkami manga story in the December issue of Bessatsu Margaret in November. Since the main Boys Over Flowers manga ended in 2004, Kamio drew two Boys Over Flowers side stories in 2006 and 2007. She also drew her Cat Street manga in Bessatsu Margaret from 2004 to 2007 and her Matsuri Special manga in Jump Square magazine from 2007 until last year.

Viz Media released Kamio's Boys Over Flowers romance manga and its television anime adaptation in North America.

Kim Hyun-joong's favorite musician. The first record Kim ever bought was Seo Taeji & Boys' second album. That is why Kim took a one year leave during his high school days, went to a new school and ran away from home because his parents were against him pursuing music. The five-member group Kim is a member of. He passed his audition for the group after simply being asked his height, weight and address. Hwang Bo

The celebrity who appeared as his make-believe wife in MBC reality show "We are Married." Kim Se-hwang

Guitarist of group N.E.X.T. He took part in SS501's "Unlock" and picked Kim Hyun-joong as a musician he recently considered good at playing the bass. Lee Hyo-ri

The star that Kim likes. He likes her so much that when he appeared on SBS variety show "Family Outing" on which she is one of the hosts, he described that it "feels like looking at a celebrity." Like so, Kim at times seems like any other ordinary observer of the entertainment industry. He will also nonchalantly talk about his past girlfriends on talkshows and does not mind too much about what others think. He also does not have aspirations to become a huge star but instead wants to enjoy his personal life and dreams of performing on stage for his fans who have become parents when he is in his 40s and 50s. At the same time, he is mature enough to turn down expensive gifts from his fans. Kim may end up being a celebrity who lives happily by doing his work, go out when he wants to have fun and garner enough popularity.

Kim Hyun Joong and Hero JaeJoong : on Vacation to Canada

It has been known that Dong Bang Shin Ki Hero JaeJoong and SS501 Kim HyunJoong has both gone to Canada together.

The 2 are known to be close friends in the Korean entertainment circle. And both of them had recently gone on a vacation to Canada Vancouver on 9th January. JaeJoong had the plans for the vacation and Kim HyunJoong is known to have joined him on the trip.

Goo Hye Sun and Fahrenheight Film an MV to Promote Taiwan

Riding on the popularity of Taiwan's well-known idol group Fahrenheit and the new generation Korean actress Goo Hye Sun, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau invited them to shoot a music video, hoping to introduce Taiwan's beautiful scenery and delicious food to foreign countries. Kim Hyun Joong : turned down "Family Outing" Season 2 offer

Popular Korean boy band SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong has turned down the offer to appear in the new season of SBS variety show “Family Outing”, according to his agency DSP Media on Thursday.

A representative at DSP told Asia Economic Daily over the phone that although Kim Hyun Joong did receive the offer, he had decided not to take up the show due to his work schedules and other issues.

Producers of “Family Outing” was reported that they asked other idol group members — including Yoona (of Girls’ Generation), Daesung (Big Bang) and Taecyeon (2PM) to be regulars on the new season. However, their companies have all replied that nothing has been decided or set yet.

“Family Outing” was one of the most popular variety shows in Korea since its premiere in June 2008. With many Korean celebrities regularly appearing on the show, “Family Outing” had hit viewership ratings of over 30 percent.

However, the “reality-based” variety show sparked controversy last year when one of the scripts was leaked on the Internet. Fans became outraged when they found that the show was pre-scripted and ratings for the show had been declining ever since.

The entire cast from the first season of “Family Outing”, including the show’s host Yoo Jae Seok and singer Lee Hyori, were set to leave the show after shooting the final episode next week.

With the second season scheduled to air around late February or early March, members of the new cast is expected to be confirmed later this month.

Kim Hyun Joong : Gets licked by a Japanese Celebrity

Kim Hyun Joong made an appearance on the latest episode of ‘Guruman-S Table’ and introduced two Korean dishes that he made himself to the audience, spicy rice cake and ginseng chicken soup. On the show he pulls a piece of the ginseng chicken and literally hand feed Haruna Ai. She pretends to be awkwardly shy and then suddenly not only does she gabble down the chicken but licked with her tongue, gabbled with her mouth, and felt with her lips, Kim Hyun Joong’s fingers. Her shocking and hilarious behavior had the audience, host and Kim Hyun Joong jumping up in laughter and shock.
